Son cuatro historias donde se pueden ver los horrores de un futuro cercano. Me recordó a Black Mirror, pero más en centrado en el propio capitalismo que en la tecnología. Algunos relatos me gustaron más que otros, uno de ellos no me gustó nada (por eso le bajo la puntuación). El del sistema sanitario estadounidense (el que da el título al libro) me flipó.
Bello, mi ha sorpreso in positivo. Quattro storie che si mantengono in equilibrio tra circa-fantascienza distopica e realismo, lasciando a chi legge l'idea che manchi in fondo davvero poco per far coincidere la nostra realtà con quelle narrate qui, arrivando almeno in un caso (per ora?) a diventare profetiche. I temi sono tanti: disuguaglianze sociali, controllo dei propri dispositivi, razzismo sistemico e violenza della polizia, sistema sanitario statunintese e radicalizzazione online. L'autore li affronta con equilibrio e a tratti con un approccio intersezionale, senza essere eccessivamente didascalico, rendendo la lettura potenzialmente godibile su più livelli.

Cuatro historias bastante distintas. De acuerdo con lo que comentó alguien de que la primera y tercera son las mejores, tal vez por ser más cercanas. Voy a leer algún libro más del autor antes de saltar a otra cosa.
¿Alguna otra recomendación de lectura de Cory Doctorow? Estaba pensando en empezar Red Team Blues 🤔
Me encantan los relatos de ciencia ficción y cómo cuentan tanto en pocas páginas. Estos 4 de Doctorow son geniales, distopías basadas en los problemas actuales de la humanidad y de Estados Unidos en particular
